Management Team
Steve Curtis President
Steve Curtis has over 20 years of experience managing the development
of software applications and solutions in the K-12 education market.
He has held executive positions at WICAT (World Institute for Computer
Assisted Teaching), Jostens Learning, and PlaNet Software. In 2001
Steve and his partners founded Edustructures, a leading provider of
SIF products and services. Edustructures is a driving force behind
SIF and has been involved in hundreds of SIF implementations
throughout the US and abroad. Steve has served on the SIF Board of
Directors where he has led the legal sub-committee of the SIF board
during a critical time in the evolution of SIF, and has been
instrumental in the formation of the Schools Interoperability
Framework Association. Steve has been involved in promoting and

Jeanne Glaittli Director of Business Operations
Jeanne Glaittli has over 15 years experience in accounting, human
resources and administration. Previously, she was the Vice President of
Finance & Administration for Western Governors University (WGU) where
she helped create the nation's first fully accredited, online,
competency-based University. Prior to her employment with WGU in 1997,
Jeanne was Controller for Jupiter Property Management in Park City,
Utah, and has worked in Washington, D.C. for KPMG Peat Marwick as an
auditor. Her focus was in the non-profit and real estate industries.
Jeanne graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Mark Johnson Vice President of Business Development
Mark Johnson is a respected entrepreneur and leader in the education technology industry. Mark joined the Edustructures team when the National Transcript Center (NTC)-a company he co-founded-was acquired by Pearson in April 2009. Prior to serving as president of NTC,
Mark was the chief operating officer of ESP Solutions Group where he led ESP's corporate re-branding and expansion strategy, which included the areas of marketing, product strategy, business development, partnerships, and internal operations. Earlier in his career, Mark was co-founder and
president of Highwired Network, an online education company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Under his direction, Highwired became the world's largest online network of high schools and received EdNET's prestigious Rookie of the Year award in 1998. Mark earned an MBA from Babson
College, with a double concentration in Entrepreneurship and Marketing, and a BA from The University of Texas at Austin. In 2000, he was recognized as the "Young Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council.

Ric Ferrentino Vice President of Sales
Ric Ferrentino joined Edustructures with more than 20 years sales and management experience in
the education technology field. Most recently, Ferrentino served as senior vice president of
Post–Secondary Sales at PLATO Learning, Inc. Previously, he held executive positions at Aveo, Inc.,
a start–up technology company in Santa Clara, Calf., where he was vice president of Sales until
the company's sale in 2002; Invest Learning, where he served as president of the Simon & Schuster
subsidiary until its sale in 2000; Jostens Learning as senior vice president of Sales; and WICAT
Systems where he held the position of vice president/general manager of the company's Training
Division. Ric is responsible for spearheading Edustructures' global sales strategy as the company
continues to solidify its market leadership in the US and expand the reach of SIF globally. Ric

Mitch Benson Chief Technology Officer
Mitch Benson joined Edustructures from Microsoft, where he most recently served as senior director of the Education Product Group. In this role, he oversaw product management, planning, and R&D for the company's portfolio of solutions for PK-20. Previously at Microsoft,
Mitch was the worldwide managing director of Education where he provided leadership and strategic vision for Microsoft's global education business including sales, marketing and enterprise solution delivery. Before joining Microsoft, Mitch served as the chief technology officer for the
Washington School Information Processing Cooperative, (WSIPC), one of the largest technology services cooperatives in the United States serving several million users in the education sector. In prior positions, Mitch served as a director with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction,
and in technical leadership roles with both school systems and educational service agencies. Mitch has served on the Board of Directors of Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) Association since 2005 and has been involved in the association since its inception. Mitch earned his masters degree in

Andrew Elmhorst Chief Architect
Andrew Elmhorst has been part of Edustructures since 2004 and has held the roles of Senior Software Engineer, Director of Development, and currently holds the role of Chief Architect. Considered one of the industry's leading SIF developers, Andy currently serves as the co-lead of the Schools Interoperability Framework Association (SIFA) Technical Board, which oversees the development of the SIF specification. Andy also participates in several SIF working groups, including his role as chair of the Infrastructure Working Group and SIFA Internationalization Task Force. Additionally, Andy has assisted the British Educational Communications and Technology Authority (BECTA) with the design of the United Kingdom SIF data model and the UK's proof of concept SIF implementations in Birmingham, England and Northern Ireland. Andy joined Edustructures from Renaissance Learning, where he served as the lead of the core architecture group, participating in the design and implementation of the Renaissance Place enterprise platform and designed the Renaissance Learning online store.

Russell Buyse Vice President, Research & Development for Record and Transcript Solutions
Russell Buyse has 20 years experience in software management and development, and is a veteran of five start-up companies. Russ joined the Edustructures team when the National Transcript Center (NTC) -a company he co-founded-was acquired by Pearson in April 2009. Prior to serving as product development for NTC, Russ was vice president of product development for ESP Solutions Group, where he managed product definition, development, testing, documentation, and delivery. Prior to ESP, he was the director of engineering at PerformanceRetail, Inc., where he oversaw the development and maintenance of a suite of retail merchandising products. Prior to PerformanceRetail, Russ founded Reveal Software Corporation, a startup firm using a static analysis technology to solve the expensive, pervasive, and longstanding problem of verifying software during the product development process. Russ is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Michael K. (Griz) Robinson Director of Software Development
Griz Robinson joins Edustructures with an extensive history in delivering best–in–class solutions for education, most recently as director of software engineering for Pearson Digital Learning (PDL), a leader in proven, comprehensive technologies for pK–12 education. At PDL, Griz was responsible for all technical development of the company's award–winning ELLIS English language learning software. Prior to PDL, he served as the chief technology officer for Western Governor's University (WGU), developing, managing and maintaining the University' distance learning architecture and systems. Previously, Griz served IBM for eight years managing software development teams at the company' Provo, Utah development lab. Andrew Newman Director of Implementation and Support
Andrew H. Newman has over a decade of experience in client services of software technology projects and support. Prior to Edustructures, Andy served as Vice President of Client Service at MasterControl, Inc. where he directed all aspects of new customer implementations, Customer Service, and Technical Support. At MasterControl the Leading provider of quality–management software, he was directly responsible for maintaining a strong customer base by assuring customer success during implementation and ongoing support, resulting in industry–leading maintenance support renewals. Additionally, he has been involved in the software industry at Medical Priority, and AchieveGlobal, and owner of a services company. Andy earned his Bachelor of Science Degree at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.

Sandra Richards Director of Marketing
Sandra Richards is a veteran of high–tech marketing in Utah, building and executing marketing programs for high–growth technology start–ups. Prior to joining Edustructures, Sandra served as senior director of marketing at Omniture, a leading provider of Web analytics solutions and services. During her tenure at Omniture, she created and implemented aggressive marketing programs that contributed to the company's record–setting (100 percent year–over–year) revenue growth in preparation for the company's IPO. Prior to Omniture, she was the director of marketing and interim vice president for iBAHN (formerly STSN). Sandra currently serves on the Marketing committees of SIFA and the D3M Alliance.
