Next-Generation SIF Agent Enhances Reliability, Flexibility and SIF-based Interoperability for Leading Student Information System

Interoperability Framework (SIF®) solutions, today announced the availability of the SIF Agent for
PowerSchool Premier, adding SIF 2.0 capability and SIF 2.0r1 certification to PowerSchool Premier,
the industry’s leading web-based Student Information System (SIS). Built from the ground up on the
company's market-leading SIFWorks Agent Development Kit (ADK), the SIF Agent for PowerSchool Premier
is designed for the utmost in reliability, security and functionality. Further, the agent is built
to meet specific SIF-based state reporting requirements for State Departments of Education.

The SIF Agent for PowerSchool Premier publishes district, school, calendar, course, student,
staff, schedule, and enrollment data to any SIF-enabled application. Features of the agent
include centralized or distributed deployment, a graphical Administration Console, full
customization of data mappings, and support for SIF 2.0 or SIF 1.5. The new agent includes
support for configuration of SIF Extended Elements and PowerSchool custom fields, and can be
stopped, started and configured independently of the PowerSchool application, providing an
unprecedented level of flexibility for users of PowerSchool and SIF.
