Sagebrush Corporation Selects Edustructures for SIF

Minneapolis, MN - April 4, 2005 - Sagebrush Corporation, a leading provider of technologies and information resources for K-12 districts and schools as well as a strong proponent of the SIF initiative since its inception, is pleased to announce a strategic alliance with Edustructures. Effective immediately, Edustructures will resell, provide implementation and offer customer support for Sagebrush’s SIF compliant applications for their Sagebrush Athena™ and Sagebrush Spectrum™ library automation systems.

Sagebrush’s SIF CERTIFIED applications, the first to receive SIF-compliant certification, allow schools using the SIF standard to share student information from non-library applications with their Athena or Spectrum library automation system. The applications act as communication bridges between Spectrum or Athena and the SIF Zone Integration Server (ZIS). Any additions and changes to student information made in other SIF compliant applications can be used to automatically update the library’s patron records, eliminating the need to update patron data in multiple systems and saving library staff time.
