Microsoft Names Edustructures a Certified Partner
Multi-Platform Zone Integration Server Adds Even More Options for Secure, Seamless Interaction and Standards-based Data Sharing Among a Variety of Software Applications
|
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - July 8, 2004 - Edustructures today announced that it has
become a Microsoft Certified Partner, which will allow Edustructures and Microsoft
to work together on solutions using the Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF)
specification. The company also announced that it will develop a version of its
industry leading SIFWorks® Enterprise Zone Integration Server (ZIS) based on
the Microsoft® .NET framework to go along with the existing Java version.
| | |
|
"Our customers and partners requested a .NET version of SIFWorks to fit into their
development and deployment environments. The incredible success of our multiplatform
SIFWorks Enterprise ZIS gives us great confidence that the SIFWorks .NET Edition will
provide customers with the tools to build reliable, seamless SIF-based integration
solutions on Microsoft .NET," says Steve Curtis, Chief Operations Officer of
Edustructures.
| | |
|
"As one of the founding SIF members, Microsoft has had a strong vision for SIF from
the beginning. We're excited to partner with Edustructures, and are very pleased to
let our customers and channel partners know that they will be able to deploy one of
the leading Zone Integration Servers while taking advantage of our flexible, secure,
manageable .NET architecture," notes Susan Van Horn; Director of Solutions &
Programs, US Public Sector at Microsoft.
| | |
|
With the SIFWorks ZIS, schools, districts and states can effectively and securely
share information across diverse software programs. Leading-edge technology adopters
including several large school districts and state departments of education have
already signed up to be among the first users of the SIFWorks ZIS .NET Edition.
Microsoft and Edustructures will join forces to manage the rollout for these early
adopters of SIFWorks .NET Edition.
| | |
|
"Our customers depend on us to deliver the SIF solutions that meet real world needs
in many different environments," said Steve Curtis. "Users will now have the choice
of enterprise technologies when deploying SIFWorks on Windows, as we continue our
strong multiplatform support for SIFWorks."
