Edustructures Becomes SIF Participant Member

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - December 10, 2001 - Edustructures LLC, the first company
dedicated to providing software infrastructure and comprehensive integration
services around the Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF), today announced it
has become an official Supporter and Participant of the Schools Interoperability
Framework initiative.

The company will develop a suite of products and services around SIF, as well
as support other vendors' SIF infrastructure solutions including those from
Sun Microsystems (Nasdaq:SUNW) and Microsoft (Nasdaq:MSFT). For K12 school districts,
Edustructures offers a range of comprehensive services to integrate disparate
applications under a common framework, including analysis and planning
of the district's integration strategy, deployment of zone integration servers
and agent software, training for district IT staff, and retrofitting of
existing, proprietary systems developed by the district.

The Edustructures SIF Platform consists of a zone integration server, an Agent
Server for hosting SIF-enabled applications, and Agent Developer Kit (ADK) built
on the Java 2 Enterprise Edition platform. The ADK also comes in a COM Edition
for Windows C/C++ developers and an OLE Automation Edition for Visual Basic
and ASP. Included in the suite is a web-based administration console, turnkey
installation, and open-source database and application server components that
can be used in place or in conjunction with commercial alternatives. The
products are slated for Beta availability in the second quarter of 2002.
