Audiological services Activities to: 1) identify individuals with hearing loss; 2) determine the range, nature, and degree of hearing loss, including referral for medical or other professional attention; 3) provide habilitating activities such as language habilitation, auditory training, speech reading (lipreading), hearing evaluation, and speech conservation; 4) create and administer programs for prevention of hearing loss; 5) counsel and guide students, parent/guardians, and teachers regarding hearing loss; and 6) determine an individual's need for group and individual amplification, select and fit an appropriate aid, and evaluate the effectiveness of amplification.
