Advanced adult basic education—A program which provides learning experiences designed to develop the knowledge, skills, understanding, attitudes, and behavioral characteristics considered to be needed by adults who may or may not have completed formal schooling. These individuals have accepted adult roles and responsibilities and are preparing for postsecondary careers and/or postsecondary education programs. ("1503")
